The rumors are true guys! Hollywood Studios will be rolling out new FastPass+ Tiers on August 29. If you are a Disney Nerd like we are, you know that this coincides with the opening date of the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!!!
One important thing to note is that one of the most awaited attractions, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, will not offer Fast Passes initially. (Rise of the Resistance won’t either when it opens on December 5th.)
(Nervous about getting into the attractions at Galaxy’s Edge check out our article on Extra, Extra Magic Hours at Disney World!)
For those who are new to Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, the Fast Pass+ attractions are split into two tiers for this park. You can book a total of three FastPasses at once; one Tier 1 attraction and two Tier 2 attractions (If you choose to, you can book all three of your FastPasses in Tier 2.) The most popular rides are all in Tier 1.
Check out the entire New Hollywood Studios Tier system below:
Tier One- Pick One
Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror
Tier Two- Pick Two
Star Tours, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, MuppetVision 3D, Disney Junior Dance Party!, Indian Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!, Fantasmic!, Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage
Our recommendation is first to go for Slinky Dog Dash for your Tier 1 selection. If you can’t get that then go for Alien Swirling Saucers. Tier 2 really depends on your preferences. Does your crew like thrill rides like we do??? If so, go for Star Tours. Want to check out a show after??? Try For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration. Some of the best actors we’ve seen in Walt Disney World have been at this super fun show! But if you have very young little ones, they will love singing and dancing at the Disney Junior Dance Party with Mickey and the crew.
So what do you think of the Hollywood Studios new FastPass+ Tiers? How will it affect your touring plans for your next trip? Let us know in the comments below.
