Our Honest Opinion:
We’ve been going to Walt Disney World every year for a while now and our favorite hotel hands down is Pop Century. If you are on a budget like we are but still want the perks of staying on site during your Disney vacation, then Pop Century might just the best option for you too!

Pop falls in the value category of resorts at Disney. It costs slightly more than the three All-Star Resort hotels and slightly less than the newer Art of Animation Resort. The extra money to stay at Pop in comparison to the All-Star resorts is totally worth it to us. And while Art of Animation is a bit nicer than Pop, it’s not enough to justify spending the extra money in our opinion.
Of all the resorts we’ve seen at Walt Disney World, Pop Century does theming like no other! The colorful, massive, iconic big wheel, rubix cubes, and bowling pins all add to the fun of the resort. The whimsy of Pop Century makes us really feel like we are at Walt Disney World. Every other vacation we go on, one hotel is just as good as any other but when we go to Walt Disney World we want all the fun you can throw at us.
While the pools at Pop Century don’t have water slides, they are still tons of fun. If you’re looking for the pool party type of vibe then head over to the Hippy Dippy Pool. There’s always lots of activity there like Goofy Bingo or hoola hoop contests. Looking to relax and swim some laps or read a book by the pool? Check out the Computer or the Bowling pin pools. Don’t forget all the pools are heated so you can swim year round!
Although we spend the vast majority of our vacation time in the parks and in the pool, we also always make time to stop by the arcade and play some games. The prices are reasonable and they have a pretty sizable assortment of games.
Shopping and Dining:
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining is a daily stop for my family when we’re staying at the resort. Pop Century has a huge fan following. In the gift shop you’ll be able to find all of your Pop souvenirs along with other Disney Parks merchandise. Need snacks, medicine or forgot your toothbrush? They’ve got you covered there too!
The food court has a variety of different offerings to fit every palette. We’ve had perfectly cooked salmon, chicken parmigiana and have also built our own delicious pasta dishes. There’s also the classics: sandwiches, pizza, burgers and fries. Don’t forget about the sweet treats too! On our last trip, we had a pineapple dole whip brownie sundae that literally changed our whole lives!!! It was the most magical thing I’ve ever eaten in life! EVER!!! (Check out Everything Pop’s full dining menu here.)
All of the rooms are spotless and brand spanking new as they were renovated in 2018. The new layout fixed our only qualm about staying at Pop…full size beds. My hubby and I are used to sleeping in a king so; while doable, the full was a bit of an adjustment for us in past years. But now with the queen size bed and queen size murphy bed for our ever growing girlies we are good to go! Luckily we have a family of four, so Pop’s rooms fit us perfectly. Don’t fret if you’re party is larger and you still want to stay at Pop; consider getting adjoining rooms. One year my mom came down with us and the adjoining rooms were perfect! Our girlies were able to go back and forth between our room and Mimi’s without ever leaving our sight and we still had our own space.
